Carbon Data Is Becoming Economic Currency: Is Asia Ready?
As global supply chains face carbon border measures, sustainable finance requirements and rising corporate decarbonisation expectations, product-level carbon data is gaining importance as an enabling layer for economic activity. Beyond sustainability reporting, interoperable carbon data can support decisions related to trade competitiveness, investment, procurement and industrial transformation.
Designed for senior policymakers, financial institutions and corporate leaders across Asia-Pacific, this high-level panel will explore where product carbon data is already informing real decisions, and where stronger interoperability and ecosystem readiness are still needed. Speakers from government, development finance and multinational industry will share perspectives on emerging decision points and risks.
The session will also reflect on progress one year after the PACT–Singapore Business Federation partnership announcement and consider how Singapore’s evolving ecosystem can contribute to regional alignment and global connectivity in carbon transparency.
Participants interested in how interoperable carbon data exchange can be implemented in practice are encouraged to also register for the implementation-focused session taking place later the same day at the same venue: Register here.
A confirmation will be sent to you in the coming weeks if your registration if successful. Please contact abis@wbcsd.org if you have any questions.
