Good reporting serves as a strategic tool to drive change and lead with credibility. Reporting Matters and the Membership Criteria are two core services in support of our members’ sustainability reporting and transformation journey. Every year, we review and assess our members’ publicly available sustainability information and commitments, placing them on a scale of maturity, effectiveness, ambition and action.

We use the assessments and insights drawn from them by providing members with actionable guidance to improve their reporting and raise their sustainability ambitions. We also draw out insights and trends from the aggregate data to showcase what leading practice looks like and how reporting can serve as an enabler for strategic integration, impact and value creation.

In a world of fast-changing reporting requirements and rising stakeholder expectations, we want to ensure that these services evolve in ways that continue to meet members’ needs, provide meaningful guidance to cut through the complexity in reporting and help turn sustainability reporting into a tool for transformation.

For the first time this year, we will conduct the assessments using an AI enabled approach. This represents an important opportunity to enhance the way we deliver decision-useful and consistent feedback to members. We are therefore carefully redesigning our assessments and rethinking how to best communicate relevant insights.

In this interactive session, we will zoom into what to expect from Reporting Matters and the Membership Criteria this year, explore specific needs in the Americas, and discuss key pain points for prioritization for your community.
